Tumbarumba Public School Student Choir will open the event singing the National Anthem in Wiradjuri. This will be followed by a presentation of Culture by Aunty Gail Clarke from Narrandera. Aboriginal Discovery Rangers from the Tumut National Parks centre have been working with the students at Batlow Technical School to create Totem poles in the school Indigenous Garden. Bring along your art supplies and ljin in this art workshop where the Discovery Rangers will teach students the art of painting.

Experience the life of traditional Wiradjuri people as recreated by the students from the Mount Austin High School MAKET team at the Riverina Environmental Education Centre. The MAKET students will present a session of culture including traditional song, dance, didg as well as presenting the gunyas they have assisted in building out in the bush at the Riverina Environmental Education Centre. This session beamed live around the world to NSW, Alaska and Korea using the outdoor satellite video conferencing equipment and expertise supplied by the DEC Distance and Rural Technology Team from Dubbo led by David Foley, will include questions fielded using a secure back channel facility. In this video conference students will present their google earth map following the Bundian Way trails that lead up to the Australian Alps Bogong Moth Ceremony. Each year, large numbers of Aboriginal people would make their way to the high country to feast on the moths, as well as gather for large ceremonies. Trading routes and Aboriginal pathways were formed over generations as Aboriginal groups from along the coast and the western plains came together. Students from other areas will be invited to add to the map in createing a collaborative map of significant Indigenous history.
